Hi David! Your more consistently shaded value study is the second one. BTW, one observation: if the light source is not directly next to the object, then the shadows will behave similarly throughout the scene (for instance if the light source is at 2 o'clock, all the shadows will appear at 8 o'clock). I noticed that in your first and third value study, the shadows moved around (and that could only happen if the light source was very close to the skull and snake). Go for it. Good luck!
